It's been awhile since the last time I updated this blog, well what to do? Recent life is super busy, I completed my Diploma, now proceeding with my Advance Diploma cum Bachelor in Internet Technology.

It's a totally different environment for me, I need to take double papers during my exams which really did stress me out.

Anyway, I got a few upgrades for my setup, sold my Beyerdynamic DT440, got a DT770, a D-Zero DAC+AMP, unexpectedly bought a Phonak Audéo PFE 012, bought a Crossroads Woody 2 and after that sold it off as well

I probably will write a brief review on my new equipment so stay tuned.

Just started a small DIY cable business for LYN forumers due to lacking of cash. Not really getting much profit from it but better than looking my account money keep dropping. So far completed 3 orders in this month and hopefully could get more orders :p

Sennheiser HD202 Review

Got this Sennheiser HD202 from Jaben malaysia last few months, it's not my main headphones but my family desktop needs a personal audio but my family does not need a very good setup so I thought of buying this. This headphones cost around RM166. The build is pretty basic,everything is made of pastic and there is this kinda comfortable paddings on both side of the headphones and one on the top. From what I saw and feel, the padding quality is not that lasting, I got some comments from other users that their padding coating comes out after a certain time. In the package it includes a 3.5mm to 6.5mm adapter, so that you could plug into a HiFi or a Amplifier, a cable organiser an the headphones itself.

This headphones really comfortable when you first put it on your head, it is light and the clamp is not that tight so you can't really feel anything when you are enjoying it. But after 30 minutes, your ears starts to sweat, because of it's PVC coating, it is kinda makes you feel hot. Noise isolation is not that good, I had a fan at the back blowing at me and I can easily hear the sound of the wind.

Before I wrote this review I had:

- Burned-in for at least 250 hours

- Did not use any amplifier

- All my musics tested in this review is lossless

Musics Used:

While My Guitar Gently Weeps - Santana

The cello sounds ok, but the electric guitar low frequency sounds way better, when it comes to the drum bass, it give a very heavy and clear "thump". Female vocal is not really that impressive, and the drums symbol doesn't really shine well. When it comes to the guitar solo part, the notes is not that clear.

Hysteria - Muse

The starting part of the song some of the notes are mixed up on the electric guitar, When the male vocal comes in, I can't really determine the notes of the bass guitar. But the bass from the drum is detailed.

Rolling in The Deep - Adele

As usual, the bass is quite heavy, second layer vocal recording is quite clear, soundstaging wise, is really narrow.

As conclusion, this headphones doesn't really performed well in rock and vocal. Just for fun, I tried it with Tiesto tracks turns out it performs quite well, like the Ten Seconds Before Sunrise, it really brings out the energy of the music. I tried it with my Hippo Box+ Amplifier, apparently it does improve this headphones alot, the amplifier give it more clarity and improves the vocal and the highs of the musics. But if you want to find a headphones at this price, I would say you might want to consider the iGrado as well.

Earn money from Facbook or Twitter

Last few months I came across this awesome site called says.my. It's a Malaysia social advertising company, it allows users of Facebook and Twitter to earn money from it.

Basically it's kinda easy to get involve in this program. First you need to sign up an account at says.my, either you can sign up manually or use your Facebook account to sign up.

Say, after you had logged into your account, all you need is to share some interesting topics provided there.

Notice in the picture above, each topic have a reserved amount for you and there is a earning per unique click, which means that each time after you shared to your twitter or Facebook, if your friend clicked it, you will get an amount of money that is stated there, but there is a reserved limit, so for each topic you will only get that certain amount of money. Don't worry though, because there are many new topics coming up everyday.

You will need to earn at least RM50 before you can cash out. Like as for mine it's already Rm62 which means I can proceed to cash out.

Hippo Box+ (Box Plus) Headphones Amplifier Review

Before this review, I had:

- Used this amplifier for more than 200 hours.

- Used the default interconnect

- All songs are ALAC format

- Paired up with Hippo Shroom EB

- Source is a PCM2704 USB DAC

Unfortunately there are no technical information about this amplifier yet.

This is my first review on an amplifier so do give me some correction if I state anything wrong here. :)

Retail price: RM300

Design

There are 3 colors available on the market if I'm not mistaken. Those 3 are silver, black and red. It is cased with a aluminum case and it feels very solid when you hold it in your hand, this is probably an improvement for the previous Hippo Box. If you all know, the previous Hippo Box Amplifier's input and output is on the same side, but in this Box+, the output is opposite of the input. I personally don't like the Box+ design, cause if you are going to put it in your pocket and your earphones' plug is not 'L' shaped, it might not suits well.

It charges with it's mini USB port which is quite standard on all portable amplifier. It has a gain and a bass switch. It's quite tricky, it only labelled bass and gain on the amplifier case, but it does not label which is high gain and which is low gain, and it's same goes to the bass.

It can be quite confusing but after testing out, I'm sure you can figure it out. Besides, there are 2 light bulbs beside the mini USB port, the blue bulb indicates the power and the red indicates the charging status, when it's charging, the red light will lights up and will went off after it finishes charging. This box+ cames with a very big advantage, which is it does not have a power switch, it turns on when you plug in your earphone into the output and turns off when you unplug it. It's kind of disappointing because there are times where I don't like to disconnect my setup when I wanted to keep everything in my bag.

The Sound

I'd say it's awesome, it does pair up very well with almost all the headphones and earphones I had at my home, I had tried it on a Sennheiser HD202, Beyerdynamic DT440 and of course Hippo Shroom EB. But in this review, I will just stick to my Shroom EB. At first, I turned on the gain without the bass, it was impressive, the mids in Shroom EB improves alot, soundstage widen and it seems to make Shroom EB more musical. I used Muse Hysteria to test, the intro, all the micro details it shows up, usually the intro part I couldn't really determine every notes the guitar and bass player hit, but now everything seems to just shows up. Volume of course it does increase, I do not have the technical specification but it increases 3 levels in my macbook. As I change my track to Eagles - Hotel California Live Version, I can notice the hall is widen alot, some of the instrument placing is abit further but it does a very good job, I really can enjoy my musics with this amplifier.

Now, with the bass turned on as well. Shroom EB's bass improved abit, enough to bring the feel during rock and fast tempo musics but it does not make the bass feel muddy and surprisingly, it does not affect other frequency. I must say that this amplifier really did a great job to improve the sound signature of Shroom EB.

Recommendation

It's highly recommended you to try it before you buy because my review might not be 100% accurate and might not able to suit your music taste. Besides, try it with other better cable, while I paired it with my Shroom EB, I kinda prefer paired it up while using a pure copper interconnect, it reduces the brightness of the Shroom EB making the sound more relaxing.

Beyerdynamic DT440 review

Before I start this review, I had:

- burned-in for more than 500 hours

- iTunes -> PCM2704 USB DAC

- no amplifier used

- all test musics are ALAC format

Technical Information

- transmission type: Wired

- Headphone design: Open

- Impedance: 32ohms

- Frequency response: 5~35000Hz

- Nominal sound pressure level: 95db

- Cable & plug: Straight cable with 3.5mm and 6.5mm adapter

- Net weight without packaging: 350g

The Beyerdynamic DT440 headphones is one of their entrance level of their HiFi grade headphones. The price of this headphones is around RM560. There are many other headphones are around this price like the Audio Technica AD500, Alessandro MS1i and Grado SR60i (If i'm not wrong). But in this review, there are no comparisons done.

Design & Comfort

I personally liked the design of this DT440, the top of the headphones are made of rubber like material while the other place is made of plastics. From the look and hands on of it, it feels very solid but it's quite heavy. You are able to turn both of the cans 90 degree so you can keep it easily. When I wear it on my head, I don't feel comfortable at all, it's heavy the top padding of this headphones doesn't really helps at all, it keeps pressing on my head. The clamping of this headphones are tight too, I need to let it clamp on my handphone box for a few days so that it could loosen it, unfortunately my plan doesn't really works it does loosen abit the tightness but after a few days not clamping, it becomes tight back. So as for comfort I will grade it as 4/10 but design wise I will grade it as 6/10.

Sound Quality

I would say this pair of headphones is more to the dark side. Soundstage is not that wide, it does sounds accurate, every instrument are produced on this headphones are just right. Somehow the instruments of every songs are moved more to the front, leaving the vocal abit back. The bass produced from this headphones are tight, slightly punchy. The mids and highs are somewhat average. Clarity wise - average, which could be good and bad at the same time, some of the musics contains some recording errors, lower clarity headphones like DT440 could hide this errors but this could also hide some instruments that are playing at a very low volume. This pair od headphones are good for almost all genre of musics, but if you prefer vocal over instruments, this might not be a suitable headphones for you.

Overall, I think this is not a bad headphones for a price of RM560, so far I haven't pair it with any amplifier yet, but I believe with a decent amplifier, the soundstage could be improved.

Hippo Shroom EB Earphones Review

There is been a very long delay for this review to come out as there is some problems with the first Shroom EB that I got, luckily, Jaben Malaysia is willing to exchange one on one for me but that time there is limited stock with them, so I got to wait till recently, I exchanged and here is it, the review.

*Please be noted that before I start this review, I had:

Burn-ed in for at least 200 hours.
iTunes with PCM2704 USB DAC and Nokia 5800 as my source
No amplifier used in this review

For packaging information, you guys can read it from my first post of this earphones at Hippo Shroom EB Earphones First Impression.

Retail price: RM190

Alright, lets go into the design. The build quality I will not rate it as very good, one of the reasons is their cable for left earplugs and right earplugs can be not even, the first one the right cable is longer than left cable by 2cm. While the current one the left is slightly longer than the right by few mm. It's actually not a big deal it does not affect the quality of the musics, but you guys can check the unit at Jaben Malaysia store before buying them. It's using the 'L' shaped 3.5mm gold plated plug, I'm sure you guys already know they advantages of using the 'L' shaped plug than the straight ones.

Comfort

This earphones had a special design. Normally earphones' driver are placed outside of our ears. but this Shroom EB, it actually place it's driver inside out canal, that will explain why this earphones had a slightly small driver compared to others. The comfort level of this earphones I would rate it as normal, there are friends of mine who tried and they complained that it will hurt their ears as the earphones end is quite big. But for me, it's ok.

Noise isolation

One of the reason people would buy an In Ear Monitor (IEM) earphones is because they are good in isolation outside noise. For this pair of earphones, it's not really good in isolating outside sounds, well, it also depends on your ear's shape. In LRT, I could still listen to the announcement, but it totally isolates other's speaking voice when the music is turned on.

Sound Quality
After it is taken out fromt he box, it sounds very harsh, highs are very sharp, I couldn't stand it so I just let it burn with white noise for around 10hours. After 10 hours, it became better, and after 200 hours, I got impressed with this IEM, so far it was the most affordable high clarity IEM I ever used. It brings out all the details from a music no matter what genre it is. It is a bit bias to the high side, so bass will not be so obvious, but to me it's okay. Soundstage wise, it's considered as average, not wide not narrow. When I'm listening to Hotel California Live by The Eagles, I feel like I'm infront of the stage this probably caused by the design of this IEM, the drivers are very near to your eardrums so it will bring the stage nearer to you. After the 200 hours burn in, the highs are perfect, the cymbals in the musics just so nice, the bass is tight and for those bass lover, as I just mentioned that this IEM had lower level of bass, this is not the kind of IEM bass lover will buy.

Improvement?
This Shroom EB does pairs very well with Hippo Box+ amplifier, the amplifier that Hippo just released, it will cost around RM300, but it does brings out the mids in Hippo Shroom EB perfectly and when you turned on the bass boost on the amplifier, it makes the Shroom EB sounds more fun.

Almost ended

Few more days and I'm heading back to my college life. These few day almost rotting at home, CNY doesn't feels busy to me at all, just going to relatives house and say hi only.

And guess what I just completed my portable audio setup, added a Hippo Box+ amplifier to my portable family.

This amp retail price is RM300, available at Jaben Malaysia, so far I had only tried it on my Shroom EB, basically, soundstage had been improved after i push the gain plus there is a bass switch as well. Size is something like a matchbox

Some people asked me: what? RM300 for this matchbox? Try it then you'll know. :D

Project Danbo!

Too bad I do not have color cartridge in my printer, printed it out using greyscale. It's abit ugly, but tis is just my first trial, and just found out that I'm out of cardboard, gonna continue it tomorrow. Darn...

Exam days over. What's next?

Finally yeah! Over! Done! Finished! The long awaited semester break is here. At first my classmates had planned to go for a trip, but seems like had been cancelled. Yeah, disappointed. Very indeed.

Me myself, I didn't plan much for this semester break, anyway here's the list:

Plan 1:
Hoping that I could complete Sitrus Designs site. Oh by the way, Sitrus Designs is a virtual business organization that my friends and I came out, what we sell? Well, checkout for yourself (Sitrus Designs) currently I'm still working on the official site, so why not just follow our Facebook page for the moment?

Plan 2:
Finish up series. Somehow for no reasons I'm into English series, more on comedy. There is a nice one - How I Met Your Mother, seriously funny and legen wait for it..... Dary!!!

Plan 3:
Clean up my room, which I had done it today, and guess what I found? A bunch of boxes.

Threw some, but still I don't willing to throw them all, especially the Macbook's box, too much memories.

Plan 4:
Sharpen my photography skills, borrowed a Canon 400D DSLR from my friend to play around. And from the last two events that I took, I realized something, I really need a deadly training.

Plan 5:
Gaming!!!

Plan 6:
Meetup good old friends and catch up with them, you know... Find a place for a cup of tea and "blow water"

So far that's it. Hopefully it could cover my whole semester break. And those who are still studying and working, don't be jealous. LOL. Peace!

Hippo Ten Review

Got this baybeh last Tuesday, it's actually a replacement for my previous Shroom EB. Retail price of this baybeh is RM210.

Okay here we go, the specifications:
Single dynamic driver, 10mm
Frequency range: 20Hz – 23KHz
Impedance: 16Ohm
Sensitivity:110dB/mW

Build Quality and Design
Build quality was great, it uses the connector just like what Westone earphone used. Cable are great as well, the cables are covered with a semi-transparent rubber, plastic kind of material. Making it dangle free. It comes with a clip as well.

There is something that's irritate me abit, the design of the driver enclosure, it is somewhat a combination of IEM and the usual out ear earbuds. Somehow, this kind of design giving me abit of discomfort at first, but after awhile, I managed to find a suitable position to place it in my ears. The enclosure is made up of metal and plastic.

Santana - While My Guitar Gently Weeps

This earphones doesn't produce very punchy bass, when the Bass Drum comes in, it goes Bumm, instead of Dunn or Dumm
I was like :0 wow, when Santana's guitar comes in, it feels warm, but not as warm as those woodies.
This pair of earphones really performed very well for Santana's guitar in almost all of his tracks
Vocals are not harsh, quite sweet. Maybe because the vocalist is India Arie?

Santana - The Calling

I can feel that the soundstage was quite big and expansive just from the beginning and suddenly there was a people softly shout "wow". And that point, I got a shock and was like: Where it comes from?
I could actually feel where is what and how far it is, for this song, the vocals and the instruments are almost at the same row. But the guitars are abit forward.

Nickelback - Gotta be Somebody

The cymbals doesn't stands out unlike the electric guitars. But it felts just right.
Separation was great, I could actually clearly count how many instruments are there and what are them.
Details are there but still not very clear

I had tried some trance, but they does not sounds really good on this pair of earphones like there is no power. But Jazz like Norah Jones's December could actually make you really relax and eventually feel like going to sleep. Overall, this earphones are more to mids and lows, great on soft rock and jazz. It does not mess up the instruments, outside sound isolation just average, when I'm in LRT, I still could listen to the alarm when the door is about to close. Well, there is actually nothing much to complain about it for this price.

For a RM210 earphones, this baybeh doesn't fails me.

10. Creative EP-630 dead, got a Hippo Groove as a temporary replacement. It booms my life out~

11. My friend helped me to recabled and revived my EP-630.

12. Became a Hippo maniac and got a Hippo Shroom EB

13. Some problems on ShroomEB, went back to Jaben but they do not have any stock for Shroom EB anymore, so got a Hippo Ten as a replacement.

14. Forced to join a co-curriculum, well. Don't feel like mentioning it, but made some new awesome friends.

Hippo Shroom EB First Impression

Just got this earphone last Tuesday, never thought I will get this so early, but since I got a great deal because I bundled with my friend's Audio Technica AD-900, in the end I got it. The retail price for this IEM is RM190. Shroom EB is a bassier version of the original Shroom.

The packaging was not that bad for a RM190. It comes with 6 set of tips, the build of this IEM is kind of special, the driver is nearer to your eardrum, which could deliver better sound but it could easily catch earwax and dust. Build quality are similar to Crossroads MylarOne's but for the cable, I personally prefer Creative EP630's, for this Shroom EB, it will be better if you could get a cable clip to clip on your shirt, as when you are walking the cable will swing around and knock on your shirt which will produce some irritating sound when you are listening to this earphones.

The sound of this IEM before burn-in is more to the mids and lows, you can hardly get to notice the highs, but after 20hours burn-in, the highs are starting to reveal. I personally feel that this pair of earphones are not really suitable for rock and trance musics, but it performed very well on acoustic, classical and jazz musics.
The soundstage is average, not too wide. Vocals are very clean and not too bright, you can push the volume high but the vocals will not hurt your ears, which I found that most AT earphones and headphones will.

Maybe I was unlucky, the set I got seems to have some problems or maybe it is not a problem. The right side of the earphones' cable is longer than the left side by 2cm, I found out that I need to push the volume higher compared when I am previously using the Creative EP630 and Hippo Groove, and lastly the bass instruments are somehow is abit to the left. Anyway, I will go back to Jaben Malaysia to enquire about these problems.

Will update when I got some answer of my problems :)

EP630 recabled and revived, with sexier appearance

As you guys knew if you read my previous post, my Creative EP-630 died, and I'm not really sure about the reason. So my friend and I had this idea, to revive it.

Basically, the problem is on the wire, I'm quite sure that somewhere in the wire had snapped, causing the earphone to malfunction at one side.

Day 1 night, I prepared a CAT5 cable, which is the LAN cable. We stripped it down and picked 4 wire for recabling.

So far, I had not really tested how was the sound like. But the first impression is it is very airy, bass is not that heavy compared to the original cable. But it was a nice experience. p.s. I stabbed my thumb with a screwdriver while I am trying to open the driver :s

Broadband wars "Tak Main Main Tau"

I was travelling back from my college yesterday and in the LRT, I just saw something that just made me gone speechless. A poster of a kid wearing some kind of ninja outfit riding a tricycle and had a sword at the back of the kid, and guess what? P1 ads.

Somehow, P1's advertisement is kind of special, and I realized it only when my friend mentioned to me. They made their promoter wearing a shirt saying: "You can touch my wiggy". Sounds kinda weird.

Still Malaysian still can't really let go Streamyx and go for other ISP provider although errmm... You know:

Why? Simple, Malaysian just love to download and so far Streamyx is the cheapest broadband that do not have bandwidth quota, we Malaysian just download anything, from movies to softwares, and yeah, most of the downloaded stuffs are production of "Jack Sparrow Co." (If you know what I mean)

Need portable audio so badly

And so, I got myself a Hippo Groove. I bought it today at Jaben, price for this IEM is RM59, and here are the specification for this IEM:

Distortion Factor: ≤3%
Connector: 3.5mm

So far, I had only burned-in for like 2 hours, so there is nothing much to be expect. But there are many downs before it is being burned-in like highs are too sharp. The design of this IEM is kinda awkward, the driver enclosure is huge, so I used a different earbuds so it could fit better in my ears, and the Hippo logo, of all the place it placed at the back of the earphones, it looks like a RM10 crappy earphones, but anyway, design doesn't matters but the sound does.

The bass, is really punchy, you know, it's like there are a boxer inside both of my ears punching my eardrum, really uncomfortable. But from what I tested in Jaben, it's completely different, bass was not so punchy and highs are not that sharp.

So looks like I really need to burn-in for 200 hours to get the pure performance of this earphone.

From my view, RM59 is a really good buy for this kind of quality for IEM.

Kingston DT1, is my first thumbdrive, it had been accompany me for more than 3 years, now unfortunately it is lost. It had been be with me whenever it need it, it had also been diving in the water for 2 times, but still works great.

I had been so sad for 1 minute, then I decided to get a new one. Did some research and finally, today morning I went to get myself a Transcend JF300 8GB

It's quite a decent one, and so far, for this price(RM39) this is the best I could get at LowYat Plaza.

Lately one of my friend came up to me and asked

"bro, why so long time no update blog?"

Been a long time I don't really have a chance to update my blog, because, hmm... You know, I am a busy man, busy as in: college's assignment, homework, coughgamingcough, coughwastingtimecough, and of course preparing for finals.

Finals, I am surprised that I did not leave the examination hall early for all these 5 subjects, previously most of the subject when I finished I just leave. Well, this time, nope, not at all. And even some of the subjects are super tough, like Object Oriented Programming Language, Information System, Statistics and Probabily. Man, those are REALLY tough, or maybe I just didn't pay much attention or coughalwaysskipthoseclassescough.

Anyway, finals over, what should I do for the next 3 weeks? I planned to learn some wedding video editing from my friend, and hoping that I could get some projects from him. Wish me luck.

Went to Jaben last few weeks... Hmm.. Or last month?
Went there because my friend wants to get a earphone, and I went there to check out some Audiophile stuffs. Must say that I had a great time there, trying out some great earphones, amps and chatted with the owner. Cood and friendly guy.

Torturing my macbook with games and Microsoft SideWinder X3

After making 5 complaints to Celcom and 3 enquiries to Digi, my problem still not solved yet...

I was so frustrated, and I decided to play some games to release my frustration, and just during gaming, I found out that my previous mouse's middle button gone "rosak"

So I went to LowYat and got me a Microsoft SideWinder X3 Mouse for RM49

Gosh! I must say this is one of the best deal I got so far, after I did some price survey in LowYat, most of them selling this at RM80, so I believe this is the best price in LowYat.

Well what can I say about this mouse? This is the ~~cheapest~~ most affordable gaming mouse available, the design is quite plain, somehow I still prefer the design of Logitech's G9x bt of course, the price... ahemm...

It fits perfectly in my hand, but the only thing is the two side buttons are just abit too small, making me hard to get use to press them, the DPI switchers really useful, by default, I can change it's speed to 400Dpi, 800Dpi and 2000Dpi of course the best thing is I could customize those buttons with Intellipoint by Microsoft or if I'm in Mac OSX, I will use SteerMouse driver.

And look what I found under their package! An antenna... Nah... nothing to be amused..

Bad Promoters from Celcom

Jeez, just before I realized, I really got cheated by Celcom. First, they said that I do not need to change my current number's operator to theirs, secondly, they told me that I will get 300 sms and 300 minutes of free calls plus 1 month free Internet. Free this free that until now I had lost my D'Campus plan and my RM20 in my prepaid sim card. They hid their T&C by folding their registration form so that we customer could't see it plus they didn't explain to me the T&C. I just don't understand that why those promoter cheats customer just because of commission. I lodge a complaint to CFM, Customer Forum of Malaysia (if I had not mistaken), hopefully that they will take action quickly before Celcom send me a bill. I am really disappointed with those promoters, now I dare not believe anything from Celcom's promoters anymore.

Yesterday, 2 Celcom promoter came up to me and introduce their new so called trial plan, somehow they had succeed convincing me to take their free plan for a try.

But then, I heard from my friends that some Celcom promoter cheated the customers, some said it doesn't required to switch the number but in the end, customer wrote their existing phone number on the registration form and their number changed to Celcom...

Gosh, I am started to getting worry, I am very satisfied with my current D'Campus plan, if one day my Digi number changed into Celcom operator, then I am dead...

Mooncake, this was my nickname since I was standard 3, why?

If you know how to read my name in chinese, it will sounds similar like "yue bing hao" (mooncake is good in english). Funny eh?

Moocake festival is coming near, and my mum, as usual, she will make quite alot of mooncake (not me! Buy she did give birth to me) to give away to our relatives.

There are various types of mooncake out there and the snow skin mooncake was the easiest to make. How? First! Buy ingredients! There are many premixed flour for snow skin mooncake, all you need is to add some water and you'll get the dough. Second! Lotus paste or red bean paste! Ah, my favourite! And yes, you can get it at super market, so you don't need to make it your self. And lastly! Wrap the paste with the dough, then press it with a mooncake mould, finally you'll get a homemade mooncake, and this is how it look like:

Pikom PC Fair Returns!

With more peoples, more items and more chances of getting H1N1!

It was 2 in the afternoon, I rushed there just as my programming test ended. At first, I planned to just walk around with Suewayne and will be going home around 5. But as I reached there, first location - EpiCentre booth and they are doing a clearance on their ipod 3rd generation

accessories. That's what I wanted! A Speck ToughSkin! And it's only RM9.

It fits very well unlike the "Chap Mak" brand that I brought the last time, plus! A well made screen protector, its not something like you need to stick onto your screen, its like a piece of plastic cover on top of your ipod firmly with rubber protection by the side... Conclusion: Extremely affordable!

There's is one thing that I'm still confuse, that is why in PC fair they are promoting mac? FIY, macs aren't PC... Hmmm... Maybe they were they to fight PCs...

But, my poor Suewayne was exhausted, as seems if she could collapse anytime... Poor thing, hope she'll get a good rest at home, as she will be having a competition on the next day. All The Best! My Dear!

Last Friday I just got my ipod nano 3rd Gen 4GB at RM 234. Gosh! That's cheap, wait! I mean affordable... Apple's products aren't cheap, even when there's a sale, I called it affordable... You know, it just sounds better...

It's really great to have an ipod after I had my macbook, my ipod nano's design just matches perfectly with my macbook... Awesome...

Started my C++ programming last week, and too bad Visual C++ 6.0 couldn't support in Vista so I need to run Xcode on my mac OS, and I had no idea why they use 6.0 instead the newest version, that is Visual Studio 2008, and the funny part is they had the 200 version, but they didn't teach us to use it...

Sigh... I don't even have enough time for myself, for the pass 4 months, I kept on working in LowYat Plaza, I get up at 7am., went to work at 8.30am. reach home at 9.30pm. then went to bed at 11pm.

Now, at least I still can rest for a couple of weeks, and of course... play with my macbook...

Ah.... Finally... after 2 weeks of waiting... My beloved macbook arrives...

This might surprise you, the speaker of this macbook is actually UNDER the keyboard, this is quite awkward when I was typing and listening musics with my macbook, my palm was actually blacking some of the sound waves.

One of my friend suggest me to buy a 2.4ghz, he say I might experience some lag with 2.0ghz macbook, but then so far last night I was doing Photoshop, music on iTunes, surfing with safari msn with adium and yet... Smooth...

Since this macbook came with a Nvidia 9400, I really cant wait till I install crysis to test on it...

P1 Wimax, good or bad?

Last 2 days I just signed up for P1 Wimax, it all happens when I go dinner with my friend nearby by my house...

My Friend: ehh, BH, see there is a P1 stand in the coffee shop
me: strange? When did my area have wimax?

We walked to the stand and after 30 minutes, i fell into their trap.
I signed up for a 2.4Mbps package...

Just when i step into my house entrance, I started use it, and I was very disappointed all i get was 1.2 or 1.4Mbps speed, but at least their activation time was fast, just when i reached home, i was able to use it already. So i thought that maybe I just activated so i might not get the full speed yet.

But, today night.....
When I download my stuff, I only get maximum 70+kbps, I should able to get 200+kbps with 2.4Mbps speed!

They told me that I can check my bandwidth usage online, but tonight when I logged into their site...
Not available! I received a sms from them telling me that a order confirmation had been sent to my e-mail account, but I found nothing from them. I was totally disappointed with their service... And right, their package is really expensive! 2.4Mbps for RM199 with limited 40GB bandwidth!

But luckily they have a Service satisfaction guarantee policy, means that if I really unhappy with their service (which I am now) I can return the modem back to them within 15days and without paying them for the usage.

But anyway, P1 is good for users that do not have fixed phone line to subscribe streamyx. Hopefully P1 will make their service better and cheaper in the future.

My Norton anti-virus stated that I am out dated for 1week, I made a record, for not able to online for a week...

On the other hand, my work seems to be fun, except facing Arab's customers. I was able to chat with the customers during sales, except facing Arab's customers...

In doing sales, its quite funny when you are selling goods that you do not like, you actually need to think that it is really good or not you will not able to sell...

Since the day i work at lowyat, my life seems to be having lesser time for myself, now, Sunday is the only day i can REALLY rest...

Working is not what i thought it was before, although sometime it is tough, but i still gained experience in the end.

Some of my friends had started their college life, and some still playing at home (the lucky ones), some even waiting for NS...

I am not sure when is my next post, but i hope i will get more experience in my working days so that i could share with you guys...

Now, I have done mastering my pen tool, maybe some day i'll post my product. So, what's next? I was wondering these day, then I came out an stupid idea, customizing my PC appearance. Although customizing windows is not really recommended, but I can't stand keep looking the stupid appearance of xp, its boring.

Many people use transformation packs such as vista transformation pack, leopard transformation pack and so on. These transformation packs really did a good job on changing your desktop appearance, and they also did quite a good job on destroying the system files... Why not give them an applause... (Clap Clap Clap....)

There are many safe ways to change your desktop appearance, one of them and the easiest one is using windows blind lor... Unfortunately this software need to buy leh, but some of the people outside will say: why buy? torrent la...

Another way is to use msstyle patch, this will change one of your system file, but one thing good about this patch is they will backup for you. After patching, you can go to Deviantart site to browse some visual style and copy all the files to WINDOWS>Resources>Theme folder. Many sites will teach you bout changing the theme, so you can google some of the articles.

Many of you guys love the vista sidebar, but unfortunately xp do not have, why not try google sidebar instead?

About the boot screen... I recommend you that don't change it for some reasons... But you can try la (if you using non genuine windows then no need to fear about it).

Prevent Getting Viruses From Pendrives

These days, many viruses are easily transferred from one computer to others through pendrives.
Normally these viruses can be transferred by using the autoplay command, and there's actually a way to get rid of this autoplay action. Here's how:

1. Login into an admin account in windows
2. Click start > Run
3. Type in gpedit.msc
4. Expand User Configuration
5. Expand Administrative Templates
6. Click on System
7. Double click on turn off autoplay
8. Enable it. And make it for all drives
Ps, after this, whenever you open any pendrive, go to my computer, instead of double clicking it, right click the pendrive and click explore.

Anyway, its better to get a good antivirus after all.

It was 28th of November, Shu Han and I reached at Alvin's store house around 3pm. As expected, Jhun, San Jian, Wayne and other guys are already there playing dota. around 6pm, we started to light up the charcoal, and we almmost used up 1 to 2 hours lighting it up... (Geez, what a waste of time) We did not know that lighting up the fire was so difficult and we did make alot of smokes, luckily that the neighbour did not complaint about it...

Well, at least we did lighted it up...We did have fun there and we did have tasty foods... Yum Yum Yum...

Although we did have fun for the whole night, but still we need to clean everything up...
We were playing till midnight... At first I said i will not sleep that day, but at last, during wathcing "futurama" I slept.

The next morning, I was being wake by some of my friends in morning 5am, I think. They are going for breakfast as they need to prepare for seminars about the undang... And I'm pretty sure that they did not have any sleep during the night, and they said they will sleep during the seminars... Well, who knows?

Yep, its middle of the month of SPM, all form 5 students obviously is studying. But me? I can't believe I'm still here online downloading Photoshop Top Secret DVDs. The exams went quite good, except for certain subjects, such as history, additional mathematics and chemistry paper 2. Until now, I still do not understand why the Ministry of education want to us to learn history so badly, its not like all of us will going to use it for our jobs.

Monday I will be having my Biology examination, but still I can't stop being lazy-ing. I kept online chatting, looking for stuffs related to computers, and in the end I regreted... Strange huh?

Yesterday, Kajang town caught in a heavy rain from 3.45p.m. That time, I was still at school but suddenly it just rain so i need to skip the tuition class. At 5.20 p.m. I saw that my school's basketball court is starting to flooded with rain water.

Today, when I went to Mr. Lim's tuition class, all I could see is that many shop had closed down due to the muddy rain water went in to their shops.

When I walked in to the metro kajang shopping mall, the basement floor shop lots owners are unlucky as they need to clean up all the mess because the muddy rain water just flowed down to the basement floor.

For those of you who are using iTunes to transfer musics and video might noticed there is a iTunes store button at your iTunes, and some might not even want to click on it because they thought that inside iTunes store, they need to pay for the content. But that is not true, in iTunes store there is something called podcast that is actually free to download. There are many tutorial podcast that might be useful to you.

Here's how you download the podcast:

1. click on iTunes store.

2. scroll down to the my store and choose United States
3. Select Podcast
And there's it, choose any podcast inside it and enjoy the video clips after download it.

When I place the earphones in my ear, It feels quite comfortable with its default earbuds which had already placed on the earphones.

I plug in to a Apple ibook G4 and switch open the itunes, without any settings on the equalizer, I play some trance musics with deep bass which mixed by Dj Tiesto. The musics played nicely, it presented every beat with deep bass sounds. The sensitivity of the earphones are quite impressive. Macbook Air - Its plain, plain air....

As you can see, its an air from Apple. I took this picture at Low Yat Plaza in a certain store. It is said to be the world thinnest laptop ever and it is cost RM6,299... Wait, RM6,299.... It is not cheap, it has no optical drive, no DIY upgrade RAM, only 1 USB port, no firewire, non-DIYchangeable batteries and no nothing. Apple is obviously wanted customers to buy their USB hub, external optical drive, USB to firewire port and so on. You can say Apple is smart in doing business, but we are not that dumb either, RM6,299 its too much although it is thin...
